Last week we delved head first into the Key Components of Renovating a Master Bath: Go Bold with Paint/Wallpaper Add In elements of Texture Define a Space that tell’s the narrative that it is in fact the Master Bathroom Get the Mirror and Lighting Mix Balanced, they set the Center Stage Keep things Grand, while keeping things Open and Airy
So this week I thought, enough about learning, my visual gals need some Hands on, before and afters and HOW DO I GET THESE IN MY HOME! So let’s get to it babes! Before I go any further let’s take a peek at where we began with this project:

This double vanity is so sizable, it is the perfect space to bring in a counter tower and utilize the extra space for additional storage and help to modernize the look. |

The Goal for this space: Bold, Modern, Master Retreat that feels “spa like” while maintaining a minimal budget, adding in textures and storage. How to add a Bold Element: Paint and Wallpaper How to add a Modern aspect : Lighting, Mirror’s, Decor and Clean crips textures and Lines How to invite a “spa like” atmosphere: Wall Art, White and Bright Linens, Stone Tiles, Clear the Clutter. Store all daily essentials in baskets, drawers and cabinets. Minimal Budget: Keep the bones! Use existing Cabinetry, Tubs, Showers and Sinks. With so many incredible products on the market now days to give each of these a “facelift” as long as they are not damaged or leaking, keep them and use your budget towards the items that will truly provide the end goal. Adding Textures and Storage: Textures are created through Wallpaper, Tile, Metals and Linens. Storage options can be easily DIY’d, or customized out of old cabinets or inexpensive cabinets for a fraction of the cost of hiring it out to be built. Now let’s get visual! …

MODERN ASPECTS Lighting: With more and more trends of over the mirror wall sconces or side by side wall sconces in today’s modern design work, I really wanted to showcase the element of using Pendant Lighting for a Master Retreat. The dual purpose here is that, while direct lighting tends to be over the sink and harsh odd spatial lighting, Pendant lighting brings the tones, brightness and visibility into the space you need it to light up, verses lighting the wall. This paves way to better visual lighting as well as creating a softer overhead light at night versus a vibrant overpowering light, which goes hand in hand with creating a more serene environment. This is the second time we have used this particular style of Pendant Lighting, we used the larger 18inch pendants in a kitchen Reno. What I love most?
